Original Asus Eee Pad Transformer getting ICS by end-Jan
ASUS has just released its Tegra 3-based Asus Transformer Prime, but while it already got updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the original Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is still waiting for that update. Earlier, ASUS posted on Facebook that that the original Transformer is about to get updated today.

Sadly, you’d need to wait just a bit more - the company has corrected their earlier post and are now scheduling the ICS update for the-end of the month. Here’s the corrected statement:

“‎[Correction] Dear all members, please kindly note that we have just received information from HQ that for TF101 update to ICS, as all has to be approved by Google, thus estimated availability to update to ICS will be around end of this month. Apologies for the error earlier. Thanks for your kind understanding.”

So there you have it, two more weeks and you should be up and running the latest of Android. Plus, you get one more occasion to exercise your patience - always needed when waiting for those updates.
