Windows Mobile users now have an alternative outlet to the Marketplace for all their application needs. This third party application is called OpnMarket and throws in one neat feature for the cash strapped individuals out there looking for a quick app fix without dishing out a cent. It’s an application store where all the apps being offered are absolutely free – no, there’s no paid ones to be found whatsoever. For those developers hesitant of paying to get their app into the Marketplace, this should be a good alternative to get their work into the hands of Windows Mobile users. Now there’s one catch with OpnMarket – it’s compatible with most Windows Mobile Professional devices with touch screens; so there’s no love for those trotting the HTC Snap variants and the sorts out there. Finally, OpnMarket will download your apps over a Wi-Fi or mobile network connection. If free apps are all what you plan on looking for, then OpnMarket would probably fit the bill for you.
Mint Mobile is now allowing you to get whichever plan you like for either three, six, or 12 months for just $15/mo. If you go for the six-month unlimited service, for instance, you'll now have to pay just $90 upfront instead of $210.
