The OnePlus 5 is now available in a brand new color: "soft gold", and you can purchase one right now, if you like it, but do keep in mind that this is a limited edition run.

The new soft gold color option comes in addition to the two current colors: "slate gray" and "midnight black", and it is the only one with a white front. A similar gold color was also available for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, but this time around OnePlus says it has refined its sandblasting process, and the finish on the new soft gold OnePlus 5 is 30% finer than on previous OnePlus "soft gold" models.

Currently, the gold and gray OnePlus 5 models are sold only with 64GB of native storage and 6GB of RAM, while the black model is the only one available with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The company has promised to bring a gray model with 128 gigs of storage and 8GB of RAM in the near future, though.

Nothing else has changed in terms of specs or prices: OnePlus 5 models retail for $480 for the 64GB version and $540 for the 128 gig model (€500 for 64 gigs in Europe and €560 for the 128GB model).

How do you like this new "soft gold" OnePlus 5 color and finish? Are you getting one?

To build up hype.

But I'd still take white over any other color, any day.

thats a s**tty way to build hype.. if you cant build it dont advertise it. I wasn't gonna buy that but companies need to tease things that they have not irrelevant crap.

This looks beautiful, but I already have the midnight black one. Can't beat the black color.

No one cares and no one wants this junk in soft gold except some fanboys.
