New OnePlus 6 photos leak out, size its notch against the iPhone X and OnePlus 5T

OnePlus may be gearing up to unveil its 2018 flagship in two weeks, but the gist of it is already known, and leaks are coming as if there is no tomorrow. Fans of the OnePlus brand are expecting the upcoming OnePlus 6 to be the cheapest phone with Snapdragon 845 when it lands, but those calculations might be off the mark, as a recent rumor indicates

Still, there appears to be a healthy interest in its overall looks and today's leak fleshes out the design quite a bit more, revealing the phone from all sides. It also gets sized up with an iPhone X to mark how much larger is its its notch compared to Apple's finest.

Moreover, the OnePlus 6 is sitting next to the OnePlus 5T as well, flaunting its shaved-off bezels, and, while the pictures aren't high-res, they clearly show that a standard audio jack is alive and well at the bottom of the phone. To wit, we can expect a phone that pretty much mimics the Oppo R15 at the front, as the brands have the same parent company, and that is not a bad thing, since the Oppo is a looker, while we are fairly certain that OnePlus will package much more powerful internals in its body.

let's be honest here, the iphone X is probably the most beautiful notched phone and one of the most beautiful phones on the planet tbh, except you haven't seen it on ground.. Stop with all these ugly bulls**t..

I think the Zenfone 5 looks better than the iPhone X

The iPhone X fails because developers have to modify their apps to accommodate the notch. Even Apple is FORCING it's developers to support the X notch. There isn't even enough room on the two side of the X notch to a battery percentage, let alone any other useful information. At least this OnePlus 6 has enough room on either side for a lot more information to be seen. Plus all existing apps are supported with this device. Not so for the iPhone X.

They are both equally ugly to me. There is nothing uglier about the OP 6 compared to the iPhone x

There is, that chin.

There is no chin, the top bezel is same as bottom one.

What you didn't notice is that phone is in a case, 3rd pic doesn't have that case on I guess.

What you don't realize, that's not the OnePlus 6, but the 5T. There is no case around it.

OnePlus 6 in the third picture is without a case, seventh picture has a case on.

In all the pictures the OnePlus 6 has NO chin, even on picture 3 there is no chin, all the bezels are the same width. And if picture 7 has a case, that must be the thinnest case I have ever seen.

Yep. They need a massive fail to kick them in the teeth and put them back on track to being a great alternative to big brand high end phones. They should change #neversettle to #bandwagonjumpers with this phone.

Much nicer than iphone X, but still too tall. Wish they made a version not taller than 145mm, perhaps about the same size as X.

That size is very hard to achieve technically. That's why most manufacturers are making huge phones with small batteries. You only have one Android option for that size: Essential PH-1.

If only they made smaller size phones. It's like there phones are XL's or Notes only. The OnePlus X was the best size phone they had.

OnePlus, as a company, has always made bigger devices. The only "smaller" phone they made (OnePlus X) was a flop, so they're sticking to what works for them.

The OPX wasn't a flop because of its size, but because of its outdated chipset sold at a high price.

And barely any software updates for OPX

Looks better than the x notch, but still can’t beat the essential notch.

This notch honestly doesn't bother me. The notch is small enough to not cover up much on the status bar, plus the bottom bezel is very minimum. Kudos OnePlus.

What an original design!

Right? Essential phone was truly ahead of all manufacturers with their notch design.

Coke is hell of a drug. "iPhone X was being developed well before the Essential PH1 made its first public appearance." - Evan Blass

Also, "PH1 was being developed before iPhone X's development started." - Maybe Evan Blass

Again I say, I hated the notch. However after giving it a shot it kinda disappeared. The only issue is that video defaults to a fraction of the full screen size (uggh!) I would welcome a well made Android phone with a notch as small as the one on the OnePlus, but I still prefer a thin, but complete bezel on the top and bottom. Day one purchase if they finally allow the VZW boys to play.... Dayum I miss being on T-mobile.
