The OnePlus 6 could cost as much $600 according to reliable source
The OnePlus 6 looks set to become the most expensive OnePlus device so far. It has been rumored for some time now that the OnePlus 6 would continue the company’s trend of pushing its prices upwards and, thanks to information revealed to True Tech by a reliable source, this appears to have been confirmed.

The source in question previously provided the Indian pricing of last year’s OnePlus 5 ahead of its official debut and, if the information provided is once again accurate, the OnePlus 6’s pricing looks set to kick off at Rs. 36,999, or $555. This price would be related to the entry model, expected to ship with 64GB of internal storage on the inside along with 6GB of RAM. In addition, OnePlus is also reportedly prepping a 128GB variant with the same RAM count which, according to the source, will go on sale at Rs. 39,999 or the equivalent of $600.

OnePlus has previously confirmed that the range-topping device would boast both 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Interestingly, though, the source in question failed to mention any pricing in regards to this variant, suggesting OnePlus may shy away from launching the variant in India, instead reserving the premium variant for more established markets.

Aside from storage and memory, the OnePlus 6 has so far been confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 on the inside. Also, on a design note, a premium glass build has been announced by the company, while a large 18:9 display is also expected. Furthermore, on the software side of things, Android 8.1 Oreo is expected to ship straight out of the box. Lastly, the OnePlus 6 unveiling is set for May 16 in London, with sales most likely beginning shortly after.
