The OnePlus 6 could cost as much $600 according to reliable source
The OnePlus 6 looks set to become the most expensive OnePlus device so far. It has been rumored for some time now that the OnePlus 6 would continue the company’s trend of pushing its prices upwards and, thanks to information revealed to True Tech by a reliable source, this appears to have been confirmed.

The source in question previously provided the Indian pricing of last year’s OnePlus 5 ahead of its official debut and, if the information provided is once again accurate, the OnePlus 6’s pricing looks set to kick off at Rs. 36,999, or $555. This price would be related to the entry model, expected to ship with 64GB of internal storage on the inside along with 6GB of RAM. In addition, OnePlus is also reportedly prepping a 128GB variant with the same RAM count which, according to the source, will go on sale at Rs. 39,999 or the equivalent of $600.

OnePlus has previously confirmed that the range-topping device would boast both 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Interestingly, though, the source in question failed to mention any pricing in regards to this variant, suggesting OnePlus may shy away from launching the variant in India, instead reserving the premium variant for more established markets.

Aside from storage and memory, the OnePlus 6 has so far been confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 on the inside. Also, on a design note, a premium glass build has been announced by the company, while a large 18:9 display is also expected. Furthermore, on the software side of things, Android 8.1 Oreo is expected to ship straight out of the box. Lastly, the OnePlus 6 unveiling is set for May 16 in London, with sales most likely beginning shortly after.

Glass build is not premium. It's stupid.

It's premium than just aluminum back. At least the majority of the people think so. Oneplus 6 will further bog down S9/S9+ sales world wide for sure. People are tired of Samsung these days.

I think OnePlus use ceramic instead of glass.

It's still $200 cheaper at least than the S9, and the bootloader will be unlocked.

But it's got SD 660 which is a mid range chip where as SD 845 is the latest flagship chip. Latter is at least 1.6x powerful as the former. Nokia is $400 with IPS display and with just 4GB RAM, OP6 is $555 with OLED display and with 6GB RAM, what'd you buy? It's so obvious right??

And this would be why smartphone sales are falling off a cliff. No such thing as anything other than premium priced phones with truly great value options trying to remove their value for dollar advantage.

Forget $600, I wouldn't buy it for $6 with a notch. ARE YOU LISTENING ONEPLUS??? No? Ohhhh :(

Remember, these prices are from India. To give an idea about general pricing in India for 64GB variants of each: Oneplus 6(tentative) : ₹ 36999 Galaxy S9+ : ₹ 64999 iPhone X : ₹ 95400 For anyone complaining about price, this is as cheap as it gets for a flagship.

$600 USD is becoming the new "cheap" for a high end phone. Taking a look at other high end phones like the iPhone X, S9/+, Note 8, LG's upcoming flagship, etc, all running $750+ to even $1000+ depending on config, $600's looking pretty cheap. Gotta love inflation.

$555 is a good price for OnePlus 6 but it's going up against the Honor View 10 and the Asus Zenfone 5z which are both $499 but if OnePlus 6 has water resistance and wireless charging it will be the better buy.
