Who hasn’t heard of fring? This application has achieved some enormous popularity not only because it works on many different platforms (iPhone, Symbian, Windows Mobile), but also because it is multifunctional. It supports chat clients such as Skype, ICQ, Windows Live, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, social networks (Facebook, Last.fm), as well as micro-blogs (twitter). Besides, you can make cheap VoIP calls through fring.

The program is so popular that it has been included in one of last year’s best smartphones – the 8-megapixel Samsung INNOV8. It seems that there was some positive feedback by the users and the Koreans have decided to preinstall fring on their future flagman, the OMNIA HD. We welcome this idea and keep our fingers crossed that everything about the device will be alright and it will be released on schedule – in the end of April or in the beginning of May, so that we can write it one very detailed review.
