Note 8 comes with a set of 'premium' AKG earphones in the box, tuned by Harman Kardon

While announcing the Galaxy Note 8 a short while ago, Samsung mentioned that it will come with a pair of "premium" AKG earphones in the box, with 11Φ woofers and 8Φ tweeters.. While it's not clear if this will be the case in every market, or after the promo preorder period, given that this info was shared on the stage of the New York unveiling, we can expect that the US versions of the Note 8 are certainly lined up for the audiophile thrill.

The AKG headphones will be tuned by none other than Harman Kardon, which Samsung acquired for $8 billion not long ago. In that respect, the new Note 8 phablet follows in the footsteps of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which also saw their preorder units shipping with AKG by Harmon buds, so that's probably the same pair, and should sound better than the average buds.
