Nokia unveiled second Series 80 smartphone

Nokia has just announced their second business oriented phone running on Symbian 7 and Nokia's Series 80 interface – the Nokia 9300. It is a high-end smartphone with 80 MB of memory (expandable to 2 GB via optional MMC card), Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, a variety of email clients with a support for IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, SyncML and BlackBerry Connect. There will be to different version of the 9300 – one aimed at the North American market will support 850/1800/1900 MHz operation, while the EU version will be 900/1800/1900 MHz. Both versions will feature GPRS and EDGE capabilities.

Planned availability for the Nokia 9300 is in the 1st quarter 2005
