Nokia replaces faulty chargers
Nokia has found a manufacturer´s defect plagues several batches of wall chargers produced by the company BYD. That´s why the leading cell phone provider has embarked on a large scale exchange campaing.

According to the official statement, the affected charges that can malfunction at anytime are of the following models - AC-3E and AC-3U, manufactured between June 15 and August 9, 2009 as well as AC-4U, produced in a BYD factory between April 13 and October 25. What about the defect itself? Nokia has identified a potential issue relating to the risk of the plastic cover coming loose, meaning exposure of the internal components and electrical shock hazard. In case you´ve got one of the faulty charges or you´re not sure, check the relevant instructions available at this website. We do recommend that you make sure you don´t have one of the faulty charges right away, because you might be putting yourself in danger.
