Nokia is planning to release the successor to the 5230 - the 5250?
Somewhat being written off here in the US since it hardly put a dent in getting S60 into the hands of the masses, the Nokia 5230 Nuron might soon see an offspring in the near future to take over its place. Launched by T-Mobile domestically, it managed to fly into the market just before Android's big summer push came about – leaving the Nokia 5230 in the dust and fending for its survival. However, it looks like the Finnish maker might soon craft a successor that closely follows the original. There was an image obtained that's speculated to be the Nokia 5250 which exudes a similar design – which in particular retains the same three button layout on the front. Based on the image, you can gather that the screen might be a little bit smaller compared to the Nokia 5230, but then again, it would fit perfectly in being an affordable handset. Since the Nokia 5230 Nuron didn't exactly come charged with some impressive features, it would be nice to see the Nokia 5250 impress in regards to no-contract pricing.
