Nokia announces the 6700 slide and 7230
Nokia has revealed two brand new handsets before the end-of-the-year holidays, the Nokia 6700 slide and Nokia 7230. They will be available in various color solutions, with some of them aimed at the fairer sex, while others better suited for men. Unfortunately, you won´t be able to wrap up and place any of these in the Christmas tree or at least not this year, because they are expected to roll out in Q1, 2010 and the manufacturer has planned to release exclusive US versions as well.

The Nokia 6700 slide is the more interesting of the duo. Contrary to our expectations, this is a Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphone and not a feature phone like the Nokia 6700 classic that we have already reviewed. Still, both handsets are made of aluminium, the 6700 slide sports 2.2-inch QVGA display, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, FM radio and 3G support. The cool thing about the Nokia 6700 slide is the device will become available in multitude of colors, including all the rage violet and extravagant lime at a price of $238 before taxes and rebates.

The Nokia 7230 is a feature phone with Series 40 interface that will sport 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel canera, 3G and GPS functionality. The handset will roll out in black and pink with a price tag of $149 before taxes and rebates.
