Sooner or later the Nokia 9 PureView will make its debut and, when it does, it’ll bring the world’s first penta-lens camera setup and an in-display fingerprint scanner along with it. Details about the former are still pretty scarce but today, thanks to the folks over at LoveNokia, a closer look at the smartphone’s security feature has been provided.

Within the APK of the Nokia 9 PureView’s setting app, a number of images and animations that are connected to the feature were found. The first, which resembles one of the physical home keys included on previous Nokia devices, will act as an indicator of the fingerprint scanner’s positioning on the display. Presumably, it’ll be displayed automatically whenever the phone is picked up.

The second set of images will be shown to users when setting up the feature. They will show users where and how to press down on the display in order to register their fingerprints for the first time.

Once the scanner has been set up, users will be able to choose from three separate animations dubbed “Future,” “Molecular,” and “SuperCell.” These will appear every time the smartphone is unlocked and can be viewed below.

The Nokia 9 PureView will make its international debut either later this month or at MWC 2019 in February. Sales are expected to commence shortly after with the flagship rumored to retail at either €749 ($860) or €799 ($920) in Europe.
