Nokia 6600i slide announced - adds a 5MP camera
The leading manufacturer has just announced a new handset to their 6600 lineup, the Nokia 6600i slide. Now, you would, of course, ask about what it improves on alongside of the previous device, the 6600 slide. The answer is simple: a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. Hm, maybe that “i” at the end of the name stands for iShoot? Guess we will never know, but one thing is certain, the 6600i slide will target people who just can’t resist taking a quick snapshot of any interesting things that comes their way. However, the new phone looks totally the same with the 6600 slide, only that it is 0.11 inches (3mm) longer now. It is also said to improve on battery performance as well. Other features you are getting are a 2.2-inch display, microSD card slot, accelerometer etc.

The Nokia 6600i slide is a Series 40 quad-band GSM and a dual-band 3G (850/2100 MHz) phone. It should start the imaging mania in Q3 in select markets at an estimated price of $273 (EUR 200) before taxes and subsidies. The box should also include a 1GB microSD card and the Nokia WH-203 stereo headset.
