Nexus 5 (2015) to be released on September 29th?
Earlier today, we showed you some leaked images of the Nexus 5 (2015). If the phone is on your radar screen, you'll be happy to know that a possible launch date for the stock Android handset has leaked out. Circle September 29th on your calendar, as that is now the rumored launch date for the Nexus 5 (2015). The source of this information is the same person who correctly leaked the launch date of the original Nexus 5 back in 2013.

September is already busy with new product introductions expected in the month's first few days, coinciding with the IFA 2015 show in Berlin. New handsets are expected to be unveiled by Sony, Huawei and others. On September 9th, Apple will be hosting an event in San Francisco that will feature the unveiling of the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus. We also could see a plastic-clad Apple iPhone 6c, with a 4-inch screen. There is also speculation that Apple will take the wraps off of its new iPad models during the event, including a 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro.

The Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to carry a 5.2-inch, 1440 x 2560 resolution screen. That works out to a pixel density of 565ppi. A Snapdragon 808 chipset should be under the hood, carrying a hexa-core CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, and the 13MP rear-facing camera includes OIS. Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

Keep in mind that unlike the other product announcements we expect to see early next month, the September 29th date is the rumored launch date for the Nexus 5 (2015). That means that the phone could be officially announced earlier in the month. The LG built Nexus 5 (2015) is one of two new Nexus models we expect to see this year. The second Nexus phone is rumored to be a larger screened phablet built by Huawei.
