New Motorola Moto G (2015) images reveal IPX7 certification (water resistance)

Mobile Syrup today published two images showing a Moto G (2015) dummy unit that's expected to be showcased in stores across Canada, where the new handset should be available via "at least one carrier". One of the images shows that the third-gen Moto G is IPX7-cetified, which means it's water-resistant (immersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes), but not dust-resistant.
The new Motorola Moto G will also come with 4G LTE, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 13 MP and 5 MP cameras (rear and front), microSD card support, and a 2470 mAh battery. Android 5.1 Lollipop will be on board out of the box.
Prices for the Motorola Moto G (2015) should start at under $200 off contract, and we assume that the handset will go on sale shortly after being announced. Who's planning to buy one?

Really wish the processor was a SD615, but I guess it really depends of the price though.

It is actually a 1,7ghz SD610 which is the same as sd615 only it doesnt have the extra 4 core low speed cluster which was only added by qualcom because the retarded chinese market wanted 8 cores. Only 1 cluster works at a time. The sd610 can be throttled down to match he lower speed cluster of the sd 615 and also throttled up to match the high speed cluster. So basically same thing.

I hope Moto launches a new line, something like Moto S with a 5.5" 1080p screen, SD615, 2-3GB RAM, 13MP camera for $300 to compete with Zenfone 2, Idol 3

Its a substantial upgrade from the previous generation. That hardware and pure android software produce seriously long lasting phones. My mom charges her moto G at most twice per week. Granted it's very very light usage but it's still a tank.

The Moto G has improved a lot since the first leaks. The first leaks said Snapdragon 410, 1GB RAM, no mention about water resistance. New leaks say Snapdragon 610, 2 GB RAM, water resistance. If everything is true it will be a great deal at $180. Hopefully it has a 16 Gb and 32 Gb version.
