Mysterious LG handset for Verizon spotted at Xbox LIVE

A tipster has informed us about an unannounced LG model that appeared in commercials of Alan Wake the game at Xbox LIVE. The pictures reveal the handset will come with themes inspired by the title, as well as exclusive game-related content (images, video, details on the gameplay, etc.). We cannot say the concept is brand new and we still remember the LG Versa Transformers Edition, a cell phone inspired by the famous movie that also went on sale on Big Red. We can further speculate the device will probably be a feature phone, aimed at eager text messaging fans.

For all you who have never actually heard of Alan Wake the game, here is what it's all about. This is a psycho-thriller centred on a protagonist  (Alan Wake) that is actually a writer going through a bad patch (professionally), who travels to a small town just to find out his wife has vanished into thin air. The developer, Remedy, promises exceptional interactivity similar to what we get with Heavy Rain. The game is due for the Xbox 360 this May, so we believe the handset will hit the shelves on Verizon at around the same time.
