Motorola Q to be introduced by Verizon

There have been rumors going on shortly after the announcement of the Motorola Q smartphone that it will be launched by Verizon Wireless. Now these rumors have been confirmed by a display unit at a Microsoft summit, which showed a fully fledged Motorola Q with a Verizon Wireless logo on it. The dual-band CDMA phone (also available in a GSM version) sports:

  • 65k color TFT display

  • full QWERTY keyboard

  • Bluetooth

  • 1.3 megapixels camera with flash and video capture

  • EV-DO high-speed data

  • miniSD memory expansion slot

  • Windows Mobile 5.0 OS

  • 64MB memory
  • miniUSB

The Motorola Q is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2006. There's still no information about the price.
