Motorola MOTOSMART goes on sale in Italy for the suggested retail price of $162
It’s not the first time we’re seeing a MOTOSMART branded smartphone from Motorola, as the MOTOSMART MIX XT550 managed to make its way into China not too long ago, but it seems that Italy will be getting its own version.
Dubbed simply as the Motorola MOTOSMART this time around, it's an entry-level Android 2.3 Gingerbread trotting smartphone that’ll be hitting stores throughout Italy. Considering that it’s a basic Android smartphone, its suggested retail price of $162 (€129) is surely very easy on the pockets – especially when it’s the outright cost we’re talking about, as opposed to a contract one. At its core, this MOTOSMART bears specs that are on par to the MOTOLUXE.
Specifically, it features a 3.5” HVGA (320 x 480) display, 3-megapixel camera, HSPA, Bluetooth, FM radio, Wi-Fi, 1,400 mAh battery, 165MB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and the MOTOSWITCH 2.0 UI running on top of Gingerbread. In terms of design, it’s evident that it employs many of the design cues of many recent Motorola devices.
Above all, it’s the pricing that will wow people – even more when it’s probably an
unlocked model you’d bet getting for the price. Therefore, if a high-end device isn’t in your future, but an entry-level one of some kind, then you definitely want to consider this Motorola MOTOSMART. Although we know it’s coming to Italy, there is no word if it’ll be launched in other markets.
