Hot on the heels of reports that there might be an enhanced version of the Moto X4 launched next month, Motorola actually made the handset official today, complete with 6GB RAM, and the star of the show - Android 8.0 Oreo - laden out of the box. Priced at the equivalent of $393, it may prove to be a very competitive device in the Indian market, where the new X4 will be launched first.

There don't seem to be any other differences but the RAM amount, and the fact that the handset ships with Oreo by default. Motorola does say that there are a few interface tweaks pertinent to the fresh X4, but the other models will eventually get them, too. Thus, the phone retains its 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 630 processor, and a dual camera that consists of a 12MP sensor, and an 8MP sidekick.

With 6GB RAM, however, the newest version sounds very enticing at this price point, and we hope that we will see it soon stateside as well. Here, the current X4 models are just starting to receiving their Oreo updates, after all.
