Leaked document shows when Sprint's HTC One (M8) and LG G3 will each get Android 5.0 update

Sprint customers with the HTC One (M8) were supposed to receive the Android 5.0 update no later than February 3rd according to the manufacturer's original promise. HTC said that it would update the phone within 90 days after Google turned in the final version of the update, which was done on November 3rd. But HTC subsequently said that some variants of the phone would not make the deadline, and that includes HTC One (M8) models branded by U.S. carriers.

A leaked document reveals that the Sprint version of the HTC One (M7) and Samsung Galaxy S5 are receiving the Android 5.0 update starting today. The HTC One (M8) and the HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon edition will be updated beginning on February 13th, according to the memo. And for those rockin' the LG G3, Android 5.0 will be pushed out starting on February 16th.

Sprint's memo repeats what we always tell you about these OTA updates. They are sent out on a staggered basis and not everyone receives them at the same time. Also, as we suggest, you should be on a Wi-Fi network when you start the process of updating your handset. And you should also have your battery charged to at least 50%.
