Latest Windows 10 Mobile build includes a dark theme app store
The latest build of Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Insiders, version 10136, brings an updated Windows Phone Store. The new version of the latter is 2015.5.29.1 and features a new dark theme. Developers might like the dark theme because it makes images of their apps stand out. You can see that for yourself by checking out the images of the dark themed Windows Phone Store that are found in the slideshow below.

Microsoft will be pushing out Windows 10 Mobile later this year. Until the updates start rolling out, being a member of the Windows Insider program is the best way that Windows Phone users can find out what to expect from the new version of Microsoft's mobile OS.

As of last month, there were 3.7 million subscribers to the Windows Insiders program. And while it is great to get a peek at what Microsoft is doing with the platform for Windows 10 Mobile, nothing is written in stone. For example, the dark theme version of the Windows Phone Store could be gone by the time Microsoft launches Windows 10 Mobile. Or, it could end up being the default version of the Store. It will be a few months before we know for sure.

I though this was already in WP 8? Anyway its a great feature Android M also has it as well, but no apps have been updated to support it yet except for the settings apps

It is, however with windows 10 a lot of the features were stuck in a 'white' mode. Like Cortana and Store. So regardless if you were in a dark theme they were white. I knew this would come, most likely due to simple bug testing etc. Apart from some random battery drain at times, where thephone stays a luke warm, and I notice some battery life go bye bye, this build for my 1520 is spot on and actually usable.

I have Windows 10 on my PC, its been pretty great for me so far Except the Start Menu has weird bugs and there's some random moments of slowness (sometimes when waking up, sometimes when opening the Start Menu or navigating File Explorer) Can't wait for it to be finally finished, its a huge improvement from both Windows 8 and 7 IMO

Did you have to roll back then update? I really don't want to roll back, but I want the update. Otherwise I'll wait for a fix.

I had rolled back from the previous version already, because it was rather unstable for my 1520, so yes I did.

WP8 store supports only dark theme. W10 store supports white and dark theme now. Great for AMOLED screens.

Every build gets a little better every time. I use a Sony Xperia Z3 but I still have my old Lumia 920 to play with for things like this. It will be awesome on the new devices.
