LG V30 official invitation confirms August 31 announcement

For example, Nokia 8 will probably be announced on August 16, while Samsung's next flagship, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be unveiled on August 23. Although a previous report pointed to an August 31 reveal for the LG V30, we did not receive any official word until today.
Thanks to the invitation we've just received in our inbox, we can confirm the LG V30 will be officially introduced one day ahead of IFA 2017, on August 31.
For obvious reasons, the “invitational only” event will take place in Berlin, Germany, the same city that hosts IFA exhibition every year. The invite we got doesn't reveal any information about the phone, but it hints to some advanced camera features.
- Display 6.0" 1440 x 2880 pixels
- Camera 16 MP / 5 MP front
- Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, Octa-core, 2450 MHz
- Storage 64 GB + microSDXC
- Battery 3300 mAh(16.5h talk time)

Definitely ready to swap out my V20 for the V30. Much more premium build. I really wanna try out that P-OLED screen over this image retention plagued LCD one. Hopefully LG has turned it around and expanded on the design of the G6.

I'm going v30 from my v20 too. i went the note series till 5 came out no sd card slot. thne the 7 screwed up, now the 7 fan is literally a fan phone in terms of tech and now the 8 is going to be pretty much a bigger s8+. I'm not happy with that at all. but my v20 is really good, so I'll go v30 without thinking twice. only prob is no support for custom roms, makes me sad :(

The ones with official bootloader unlock will have custom ROMs. There's two carrier unlocked models of the LG G6 which are eligible for LG's official bootloader unlock code. U.S. and European. They will probably do similar for the LG V30.

So, basically an LG G6 with a bigger display, battery and an upgraded chip, eh? Rather pointless, I must say. The V20 had a distinctive trait. What this phone has? The way I see it, one is better off with The Huawei Mate 9. Yes, it's fast, but not Snapdragon 800 Series fast. But for the price, I can't complain. Oh well, G'Day!

Hopefully they'll officially sell this here in Europe. Was a pain in the balls for me to get the v10 and v20 here in Ireland.
