LG V30 appears on Geekbench?
The LGE LG-H932PR was discovered today on the Geekbench benchmark app. This could be the LG V30 getting sized up. We come to that conclusion because of the Snapdragon 835 SoC listed as powering the device. The latter is equipped with an octa-core 1.9GHz CPU. The LG Q6 is out of contention because that phone is powered by the Snapdragon 435 chipset.  Android 7.1.2 is pre-installed.

While not mentioned on Geekbench, we expect the phone to carry a 5.7-inch OLED display with the FullVision 18:9 aspect ratio. 4GB of RAM is said to be inside along with 64GB of native storage. A dual camera setup contains a pair of 13MP sensors and the whole shebang is running on a 3200mAh battery. There is no secondary display this year, but there is an IP68 certification rating. This means that the device can be submerged in water as deep as 5-feet for as long as 30-minutes, and escape unscathed.

On Geekbench, the LG V30 scored 1899 and 6350 on the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Last year's LG V20 had a 1554 single-core tally, and a 3626 multi-core result. The unit is expected to be unveiled on August 31st in Berlin, the day before the annual IFA trade show opens.

So, it's more like n upgrade G6? If the screen size is like the G6. It's not even close to 5.7in because of the on screen buttons. The screen real estate will be smaller than the G5.

This sounds like the exact same phone as the G6. What's different besides the processor?

What's with those heading ending with "?" question mark all he time PA??? Your journalism sucks. That's is so ugly. At least start with "Rumor" something and son't use the question mark all the time in headings of articles.

I'm not sure where PA is getting the 5.7 inch screen size, except for the fact that they're merely carrying over the previous screen size of the V20. Considering LG is moving forward with the 18:9 aspect ratio, I would expect the screen size to be 6 inches or more. The G6 has a 5.7 inch screen, and the supposed renders for the V30 have the device being about 3 mm taller and 3 mm wider with even smaller bezels than those found on the G6 (renders based on CAD designs have them basically getting rid of the LG logo on the front bottom bezel and utilizing that space).

So what's a V without a secondary screen? Just another - G. Are they removing the secondary display because of the Oled panel?
