Today, LG announced that its
KF700 is now available for purchase in the European market. After the KF600 and KF510 launched, it was high time the third interesting model announced at the MWC 2008 to hit the shelves also.
As we reported
when it was announced, the KF700 is another promoter of the “touch-phone” design language. Just as the Viewty, most of its front side is occupied by the 3 inch touchscreen, but this one lacks any hardware keys. However, KF700 is a slider and once slid opened, it reveals a full numeric keypad, for those who want to dial a number or input a text message in the old-fashioned way. Another new thing is the wheel on the back, used for alternative scrolling through the menus.
KF700 runs on the same software as the Viewty, but unfortunately, it doesn’t support DivX playback and has a 3-megapixel camera with just the standard video capture options.
Pricing details have not been announced yet.
