Koala-ity phone: Four Australian carriers announce that they will carry the Samsung Galaxy S 4
The Samsung Galaxy S 4, the next Android flagship smartphone, is coming to Australia where four carriers have announced their intention to carry the device. Telstra, Vodafone, Optus and Virgin will each offer the model, which is expected to sell more than 100 million units around the world. Pricing and availability dates were not disclosed.

Vodafone, Telstra  and Optus have each put up a website for the Samsung Galaxy S 4 where those interested in the Android flavored model can leave their email address to receive further updates about the phone. Optus is also running a contest that offers the winner a grand prize consisting of any Samsung phone on the carrier's lineup. All you have to do is write about what you see as the features that will be available on smartphones in the year 2020.

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S 4 has been unveiled by its Korean manufacturer, you can expect to see carriers around the world disclose plans to carry the phone. On Saturday, we showed you some leaked documents that revealed a timetable and pricing for the Italian launch of the phone. The information shows that the Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be released in the country sometime during the first two weeks of May, priced at €699 ($914 USD, £604). Meanwhile the rest of the EU will be facing a retail price of €599 ($783 USD, £518). The pricing of the device in Italy might seem a little out of whack, but has been the norm for Samsung devices in the country.
