Images of China bound HTC T9199 'Oboe' show off its close relationship to the HD2
All efforts are undoubtedly being placed on Windows Phone 7, especially when it finally exudes that true mobile feel from head to toe, but Windows Mobile is still being kept close in the mind to HTC – even more when they seemingly kept the platform afloat and relevant. By now, we all know that the HTC T9199 'Oboe” is bound for China and is packing along the last generation Windows Mobile 6.5.3 experience, but now we're getting our first glimpse at a couple of new leaked images showing off the handset.
Somewhat having an appearance similar to the HTC HD2, the T9199 is turning out to become one solid looking device that should appease Windows Mobile users. It features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.3” WVGA (480 x 800) touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB of ROM & RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and a 3.5mm headset jack.
After being officially announced, its release is almost imminent as there are surely going to be some people pleased by its arrival. When the country isn't lined up to see any Windows Phone 7 handsets any time soon, the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 HTC Oboe should suffice as an alternative.
