Image of Sony Xperia Z1s shows up on Sony's web site before getting pulled
We've often said that when an image or a video leaks and then quickly disappears, it means that the leak was too close for comfort. So what can we make of the fact that Sony posted and then pulled an image of the Sony Xperia Z1s? This is expected to be the mini version of the powerful Sony Xperia Z1 and the version that showed up on the site was an international variant of the byte-sized device.

The Sony Xperia Z1s is expected to offer nearly the same specs as the full sized version of the phone, which is a change from other mini models. The only changes besides the smaller 4.3 inch screen and the 720 x 1280 resolution (as opposed to the 5 inch glass with 1080 x 1920 resolution on the full-sized model) is with the battery which weighs in at 2300mAh on the Xperia Z1s compared to the 3000mAh cell on the Xperia Z1. The same 20.7MP camera seen on the back of the full-sized model is on board here, and the phone is powered by the same quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor found on the Sony Xperia Z1.

The leak is a timely one since the Sony Xperia Z1s is rumored to be unveiled at a Sony event in Shanghai on Tuesday. If you're interested in this model, you might want to stay up late tonight to check in.
