Huawei Nova 4 gets certified with triple-rear camera and display hole
Earlier today, Samsung took to the stage in China to announce the world’s first smartphone with a display hole – the Galaxy A8s. But as many of you may know, Huawei’s own alternative is not that far behind. And with just a week to go before its unveiling, the first clear photos of the Nova 4 have been published.

Spotted on an official certification listing in China, the images in question showcase the small display hole found in the top corner. This is accompanied by equally slim top and side bezels, and a slightly larger chin. However, in a rather unexpected move, these bezels have been painted white. As companies have gradually moved over to bezel-less designs, most have chosen to stick with black bezels as they draw less attention and tend to create a much sleeker look. But in this case, it seems Huawei is purposely drawing attention to its tiny bezels.

Over on the rear, the Huawei Nova 4 features a triple-camera setup similar to that of the P20 Pro. Instead of using a 40-megapixel primary sensor, though, the Nova 4 is now expected to make its debut with a 48-megapixel Sony sensor on the rear. This will likely be combined with a monochrome camera and a telephoto lens.

At the moment, the Nova 4 is expected to go official on December 17. The initial release will be limited to China but, considering the company’s history, an international release is likely to follow in early 2019.
