The downgraded Huawei Mate 30 shows up in live images
Huawei said many times before that some of its smartphones will be launched in some markets under different names. The Nova series is a good example, as these smartphones are mainly aimed at the Chinese market, but many of them are released in other regions but under different names.

The last device that follows Huawei's marketing strategy is the Nova 5i Pro, which will be launched in China sometime in August. The same smartphone will be released in many other parts of the world as Huawei Mate 30 Lite, which would imply that it's a slightly downgraded version of the Mate 30, the company's upcoming flagship smartphone.

Software-wise, the Mate 30 Lite and Nova 5i Pro will be slightly different, but when it comes to hardware and looks, they should be quite similar. Several pictures of the Huawei Mate 30 Lite were recently spotted by Playfuldroid on the Chinese social network Weibo, so now we also know what it looks like.

Besides the punch-hole display, we get to see the camera island on the back that features four cameras, as well as the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a small LED flash. As far as the specs go, the Mate 30 Lite aka Nova 5i Pro is expected to pack a powerful Kirin 810 processor, paired with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal memory.

The quad-camera setup on the back includes 48MP, 8MP, and 2x2MP sensors. Also, the phone will be powered by a generous 3,900 mAh battery, a decent choice considering the phone will boast a huge 6.26-inch display. These specs have been confirmed by the Mate 30 Lite's listing on TENAA, the Chinese regulatory site, so they're quite accurate until Huawei decides to change something at the last minute.

Unlike the Nova 5i Pro that's rumored to be revealed in China in August, the Huawei Mate 30 Lite might not be announced until September, but that's just a guess.

Glad they brought this color back, I just hope we'll also have this option on the Pro variant.

I looked at the picture above the article and thought it was the back. I was like "single camera?" Nani? Lol it's a punch hole.

Wow the same square camera design on the back like mate 20. Tbh I prefer a selfie camera on the right side or the middle.
