Huawei confirms triple-camera setup on Mate 20 series in newest teaser
The flow of Huawei Mate 20 teasers continues and, in the latest one, the company has confirmed the square-shaped rear camera setup.

During the video teaser in question, Huawei states that it’s time to “explore something new” before eventually displaying the outline of the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro’s rear camera setup. Now, the video itself doesn’t confirm any actual camera specifications but previous reports have revealed the details.

Starting off with the slightly more premium Mate 20 Pro, a main 40-megapixel camera will be accompanied by a secondary 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and an 8-megapixel camera complete with a telephoto lens that is capable 3x optical zoom. This same telephoto lens will also make its way to the regular model. However, when it comes to the monochrome sensor and the main camera, these will offer slightly lower resolutions of 12-megapixels and 20-megapixels respectively.

Moving away from the cameras, both smartphones will run the Kirin 980 processor and include a minimum of 6GB of RAM. Moreover, 128GB of storage was previously confirmed but, much like the P20 series, this isn’t expected to be expandable. In regards to the batteries, Huawei has already confirmed that over 4,000mAh will be on offer. And, on the software side of things, Android 9 Pie with the EMUI 9.0 overlay will complete the package.

Both the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be officially unveiled in London in just under one month’s time. Alongside these, the Chinese company is expected to announce a new Mate 20 Porsche Design and possibly the Huawei Watch GT.
