Huawei Ascend P1 XL release looming this month in China
The Huawei Ascend P1 XL is basically an Ascend P1 with its battery on steroids, and now it’s release is right around the corner... in China. Sadly, that’s where the P1 XL will launch initially, with no details available right now on global availability.

The device, though, looks promising with that huge 2,600mAh battery that should keep juiced up for much longer periods of time, so you definitely won’t have to worry about getting through the day with this Ascend P1 XL.

The handset will cost around $470 off contract. It runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, all on a 4.3-inch qHD screen with a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor paired with 1 gig of RAM. An 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter rounds up the spec highlights.

Huawei is working on its own quad-core processor, but the company is facing troubles that pushed it back and it now expects its first phone with it, the Ascend D quad to land on store shelves around September.
