HTC outs an SMS stability update for the Touch Pro2 & HD mini
There's no arguing that HTC's Sense is one of the most versatile and functional customizations to grace the Windows Mobile platform. We've seen the Taiwanese based company transform the all too ordinary look of Windows Mobile into something completely different as we witnessed its evolution from TouchFLO to the refined Sense UI. However, there are still some bugs and kinks somewhere deep down in the software that doesn't necessarily exude speed and reliability in some of its core apps – specifically Sense's SMS software. Apparently these bugs presented a problem to HTC Touch Pro2 and HD mini owners who were running carrier ROMs on their handsets. Luckily HTC came in to save the day and shipped out a hotfix that “amends the internal management of SMS functionality, and enhances SMS transmission stability.” Basically this would affect those running ROM version 1.36.XX on the HD mini and ROM 2.08.XX for the Touch Pro2. The update is now available for the grabbing so you won't have to live with this nagging problem anymore.
