HTC brings out its third video teaser for the HTC One (2014), this time with a focus on the cameras
HTC has released its third video teaser about the HTC One (2014). The new video discusses the 2.0 micrometer pixels that HTC used on the current version of the HTC One and also explains how Ultrapixels allow 300% more light into the camera sensor, allowing  for better photographs even under low light conditions.

When it comes time to discuss the features on the camera of the new HTC One, the dialogue on the video is bleeped out and the device itself is disguised to keep the design a secret, although that ship has already sailed. The new model is expected to feature dual-sensor rear-facing cameras in the back. Combining the two sensors is supposed to bring better depth perception to pictures taken with the phone and allow for better photorgraphs taken under low-light conditions.

The front-facing shooter is expected to be 5MP with an f/1.8 aperture to allow for sharp selfies even when the lighting conditions are less than optimal. With the improved 16MP snapper on the back of the Samsung Galaxy S5, the 20.7MP rear camera on the Sony Xperia Z2 and a better 13MP camera on the rear of  the LG G3, HTC needs the changes made on the new shooter to keep up with the competition.

The HTC One (2014) also includes a dual-LED flash. We recently got to show you a close-up of the dual camera sensors and the dual LED flash thanks to a leaked photo tweeted by evleaks. The HTC One (2014) is expected to be unveiled on March 25th and you can check out HTC's latest video teaser for the handset by clicking on the video below.

Looks like they aren't ditching ultrapixel. Which isn't bad, the concept was great the application was not as great as expected in the One. Given higher microns with a good megapixel size, I'd be very happy with my night time shots shooting over 1000 ISO.

Why do they bother censoring the phone when everything about the new htc one is leaked already???.....

Not sure if you are sarcastic or not...but if you aren't its because the general consumer probably has never visited a tech site before. They go into the store and find out that there is a new phone coming out, that is as updated as most people get. If you were sarcastic, lmfao id agree hahahaha most leaked phone of all time.

The "general consumer" probably doesn't watch these videos either....

HTC needs help from Nokia, Samsung and Apple when it comes to advertising. This was again hard to watch all the way through without getting bored.

Have you ever used the HTC One or are you just jumping on the band wagon. Last weekend I took some awesome photos with my Ultrapixel camera, better than my Lumix camera. The HTC One's camera isn't perfect but neither is the Z2's 21MP camera (see youtube review by GadgetJM)

Their stupid videos won't stop this phone from being one of the top devices of 2014 however, so go ahead HTC make ridiculous videos because you still kick ass

They would succeed a hell lot more if they actually took the time to produce great ads.

Probably but i've never seen great ads that make me go oh yeah i'ma buy the hell outta that. Instead i see the device, learn about it, then make my decision. Since Sony likes to make deals with the worst carrier in the country i have my eyes on this and the G3 which sounds like it could even outshine the new One. Though, the new one could just be pretty damn fantastic and i like that grey color

i think the real purpose of a slick ad is not so much to convince you to buy a phone as much as it is to establish the feeling of a phone samsung and apple work very hard to make their phones feel fashionable, cool, and fun to use. the commercial doesn't convince you but you walk away feeling positive towards the device, so when you are making a decision, you subconsciously associate certain qualities to the phone they show hip, cool people using the phone so that people subconsciously feel hip and cool if they have it it all works into identity construction that is why it is worth 12 billion dollars a year not because the ads convince you consciously, but because the subconsciously carve out a niche/need for the device in your life as you create an identity for yourself that is the point of fanboy wars it isn't about right or wrong there are people whose identities are tied up in the fashion and high class living of apple and also in the scrappy, techie, and honestly, manly world of android this is what advertising does this is why so many android phones come out in hideous carbon fiber and in brands like verizon's ultra-manly droid, while apple offers their phone in gold and white as much as you may think it is the features, a large part of your choice in phone has to do with how you see yourself as a person, whether you know it or not

HTC One 2 will be fantastic. I am sure the camera will have 8mp or more. Its a unique concept and might work out perfectly. Watch when Samsung try to steal stuff.

you mean follow their innovation there is no stealing (even if patent wars suggest otherwise) there is no shame in this if they do it well, i hope everyone follows and one ups them there is no shame in this this is how technology freaking works i definitely applaud those who strike out with something risky but the only way i would think less of a brand is if they chose not to follow an innovation, because in that case they are either complete idiots, or just nintendo game cube level arrogant.

Yeah but Samsung isn't really known for being innovative.
