Google's new deal takes $200 off all Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL models
While all of the excitement lately from Google has been over the mid-range Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, the high-end Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are both still available. And now the pair are on sale at the Google Store (via Droid-Life). Both phones have been reduced in price by $200. With the 25 % discount, the 64GB Pixel 3 is $599. The 128GB version will run you $699, a 22% price cut. With $200 off, the 64GB Pixel 3 XL is $699 and the 128GB model is $799. That works out to discounts of 22% and 20%, respectively.

The Pixel 3 is equipped with a 5.5-inch P-OLED (Plastic OLED) display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 (FHD+) and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with 4GB of memory. A single 12.2MP camera is on the back with an aperture of f/1.8. There are a pair of front-facing 8MP selfie snappers including one with an ultra-wide lens. Keeping the lights on is a 2915mAh battery, and there is a fingerprint scanner on the back. The phone has an IP68 rating, which means that it is protected from dust and can be submerged in nearly 5-feet of water for as long as 30 minutes. Android 9 Pie is pre-installed.

The Pixel 3 XL features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440x 2960 resolution (QHD+). This works out an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device is also powered by the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and comes with 4GB of memory. It has the same rear camera and dual front-facing selfie snappers found on the Pixel 3 but has a larger 3430mAh battery. It too has an IP68 rating. Color options for both phones are Just Black, Clearly White and Not Pink.

If you want the outstanding camera and image processing available on the Pixel 3 models for less, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are still cheaper. The Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch OLED panel with a 1080 x 2220 resolution, and 18.5 aspect ratio. The Pixel 3a XL sports a 6-inch OLED display with a 1080 x 2160 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Both models have the Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform under the hood and are equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The pair also have the same 12.2 MP camera on back found on the Pixel 3 line, and the two mid-rangers carry a single 8MP selfie snapper. The Pixel 3a has a 3000mAh battery keeping the lights on while the Pixel 3a XL has a 3700mAh battery inside. The Pixel 3a will set you back just $399 and $479 will get you the Pixel 3a XL.

So far the Pixel line it’s been a disaster, they have spent so much money on R&D, advertisements, price cuts up to 50% off but nothing seems to salvage it, might as well just give up Google focus on what you’re good at and just sell the patents.

Are they trying to wreck their own Pixel 3a (& XL) lineup' sales?

They've been having these kind sales way before the 3a was released

Does anyone think it's worth the extra 200 over 3a?
