Gingerbread software update is being rolled out to Sprint's Samsung Galaxy Tab
Chiming in right on schedule, Sprint customers who happen to own the carrier's Samsung Galaxy Tab should be waking up to something special because the Gingerbread software update for the tablet is now available.

Keeping its promise of delivering the update by today, July 5th, the over-the-air update is available for download – though, Sprint is pushing it out in waves throughout the course of the week. However, if you’re simply impatient and want to get right into Gingerbread with your Sprint branded Samsung Galaxy Tab, you can manually check for it under the Software Update section in the Android Settings menu. Indeed, the Gingerbread update brings forth some significant changes and improvements to better the overall tablet experience.

As much as we’re happy to hear about this, we’re still curious to know if other carrier versions of the tablet will be making the jump to Gingerbread as well in the near future – but in the meantime, Sprint owners can rejoice.
