Fitbit Versa 2: price and release date
The Fitbit Versa 2, the successor to one of Fitbit's most popular smartwatches, is now official and along with the exciting new features like support for voice control via Amazon Alexa, a smaller bezel, an always-on mode and a solid battery life, we got to learn about the price and release date.

The Versa 2 is priced at $200, half the price of the base model Apple Watch Series 4, but not much cheaper than competing devices from Samsung and Garmin. Take a look at how the price of the Versa 2 compares to other popular alternatives below:

  • Fitbit Versa 2: $200 (€200 in Europe)
  • Apple Watch Series 4: from $400
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch Active: $200
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm: $280
  • Garmin Vivoactive 3: ~$200

The one feature that the Versa 2 is lacking when compared to many other smartwatches is independent GPS support (it only features connected GPS using data from a paired phone).

There is a special edition of the gadget that will come with a beautiful jacquard woven band plus an extra classic band, and you also get a free 3-month trial of Fitbit Premium with that model. The price of the special edition is set at $230 (€230 in Europe).
