Dell still in the hunt on offering smart phones and other devices
Ronald Garriques, President of Dell's Consumer Division, has revealed in a recent analyst meeting that the company is in fact working “with the top three to four” mobile operators to”see what their needs are.” It's another indication to Dell's intentions of entering the market with their own branded handset. Earlier news reports have hinted that they are in the works to offer an Android powered handset. In addition to mobile phones, they are looking to branch out by offering devices with screen sizes between four and twelve inches. Previous news from the Wall Street Journal have hinted to 2G and 3G handsets by the end of the year. This latest round of news just supplements Dell's commitment in working to get devices out to the masses.
