Defying Gravity: T-Mobile launches Samsung Gravity Q
On Monday, T-Mobile launched the Samsung Gravity Q. This is an entry-level model that features a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. Like its predecessor, the Samsung Gravity T, the new model is an exclusive to T-Mobile. The nation's fourth largest carrier is asking for a down payment of $9.99 with the balance paid off in 24 monthly installments of $6 each. That works out to a price of $153.99 for the phone.

The Samsung Gravity Q comes with a 3 inch screen, larger than the 2.8 inch glass on the Samsung Gravity T. The featurephone has a 2MP rear-facing camera, a 1000mAh battery and an FM radio. A 32GB capacity microSD slot is aboard and the phone features 3G connectivity on T-Mobile's pipeline.

This would be a good handset for the kids, especially with the QWERTY keyboard which makes it much easier to send out perfectly composed text messages. Or, if you need a back up phone for one reason or another, this could be a good choice.
