Deal: Best Buy sells the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 for only $312, buyers get $200 gift card too

Here is a great deal aimed at Motorola fans who don't mind being tied to a long-term plan. The DROID Turbo 2, exclusive to Verizon Wireless, is now on sale at Best Buy for just $312.

There's a catch, though, as buyers will have to commit to a Verizon installment plan of $12.99 for 24 months, which sets the price of the DROID Turbo 2 at just $312.

The DROID Turbo 2 usually sells for $499.99, so this looks like a great deal indeed. On top of that, Best Buy also throws in a $200 gift card to sweeten the deal further. Free shipping is available as well, and you can even choose between gray and white versions.

It's worth noting that customers who want to take advantage of the deal must use Best Buy's financing system, not Verizon's.

Originally launched with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on board, the DROID Turbo 2 was updated last year to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Moreover, the smartphone might even be upgraded to Nougat sometime this year.

Almost two years after release, the DROID Turbo 2 is still a great device thanks to its 5.4-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 CPU and 3GB of RAM. The 21-megapixel rear-facing camera is another major trait of the phone, along with a massive 3,760 mAh battery.

Ah the Turbo 2: have to pay people to get rid them, even after it's discounted.

Actually a good phone. I got one for my daughter, who has broken the screen of every other phone she's ever had. At one point, insurion dropped her and refused further coverage.

I'm sure they are trying to unload them as fast as possible. Read about it online. Terrible charging issues. My friend got rid of hers and when she took it back to Verizon the store Mgr said his son's also had the charging issue as well.

Terrible charging issues? You mean the idiots buying the phone, thrashing it like its a rock and complaining when it stops working?
