Chinese and European Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c users receive iOS 7.0.5 to fix network issues
Apple iPhone 5s and Apple iPhone 5c models purchased in China, as well as some units sold in Europe and the Asia Pacific region, are beginning to receive an update to iOS 7.0.5. The update started rolling out on Wednesday to those models that are compatible with Chinese networks. The update is minor in scope, repairing network issues that the affected handsets suffered with.

The update to iOS 7.0.5 is taking place about two weeks after the worlds largest carrier, China Mobile, finally started selling the iPhone to its 763 million subscribers. The other two major Chinese carriers, China Telecom and China Unicom, already have been selling the latest iPhone models since the launch back in September.

The update is the first to Apple's mobile OS since iOS 7.0.4 was released in November to fix a bug that was dropping Face Time calls. Apple is working on iOS 7.1 and seeded developers with the fourth beta version of the iOS build earlier this month. Apple's iOS 7.1 should be released to consumers in March.

The versions of the Apple iPhone 5s receiving the iOS 7.0.5 update are: A1457 (UK/Europe), A1528 (China) and A1530 (Asia Pacific). The versions of the Apple iPhone 5c receiving it are: A1507 (UK/Europe), A1526 (China) and A1529 (Asia Pacific).
