Check out new case-wearing renders of the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8
by Alan Friedman / Feb 18, 2017, 10:29 AM
As far as the LG G6 is concerned, the render resembles just about every leaked image of the phone, at least from the back. That's to say it includes a horizontally mounted dual camera setup with a flash in the middle, flanked on either side by a camera sensor. Underneath the flash is the fingerprint scanner, and the back appears to be made of brushed metal.
Both phones have extremely thin side bezels, and with small top and bottom bezels to boot, you can tell the 2017 models apart from earlier versions. The LG G6 will be unveiled on February 26th at MWC in Barcelona. It should be released in the states on April 7th. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will star in a one-minute video at MWC, with the official introduction taking place on March 29th. Besides the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8, Samsung is expected to remove the wrappings on the 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S8+ at the same time.

Both look like decent devices but that S8 just outshines the G6... It'll outshine it software wise too!! Day one purchases for both devices for me... G6 may get returned though...

#smeargate for the S8 if the FP scanner is right next to the camera like that..people are gonna accidentally rub their cameras with their fingers as they try to hit the scanner. Terrible placement man wow

Only idiots. The rest of us will stay away from the center of the back, and place our fingers at the left edge.

Looks like there will be a "bunch of idiots" doing this to their S8 because it'll be very easy to do so. Expect to see blurred oiled up photos from a good amount of S8 users from this Terrible placement is a terrible placement

As I hold my s7 edge on my right hand my finger actually lands to the side. Exactly where the heart rate monitor is. So it's not too bad. Chances that the camera will be more prone to smears regardless. But I don't think it's that bad. It rarely happens with my s7 edge

Disagree all you want for what I'm about to state, and I know The Disciples Of Samsung are gonna come for me, ready to read it? Here we go. The Galaxy S8 looks stupid as far as safety is concerned. There's barely any bezels to take the impact if the device were to fall out of your hand, not to mention the screen expands all the way to the edge of the device, your content will look distorted slightly, color shifting issues are known in edge variants. This design serves no purpose but to look cool, and even that's not justifiable for the rumoured price this thing is probably gonna be. (and no, I'm not buying this phone, so you can keep your "well if you don't like it, don't buy it" comment to yourself.) Between these two renders, LG took the logical step and made bezels that don't slant over the edge of their devices while still making a huge screen with enough bezel size to take some impact.

I'll disagree all I want, okay? Your entire post was said last year about the S7 Edge. How did that one turn out? You don't like it, don't buy it... You only threw that comment in their as a self conscious defense, because even you know that's the bottom line. The folks that like Samsung, like their designs and find use in them, so your opinion is just that. Silly post, top to bottom.

"I'll disagree all I want, okay? " Did you skip over this statement? "Disagree all you want for what I'm about to state", I don't care if you disagree, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop sharing my thoughts. "Your entire post was said last year about the S7 Edge. How did that one turn out? " It turns out that there were so many reports of cracked screenshttps://andrewstwocents.com/20
17/02/18/dont-curve-my-phone-screen/ , and even cracked screens with no impact, source:https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=a--av3JYtk0
This implementation of edged screens is stupid.
"You only threw that comment in their as a self conscious defense, because even you know that's the bottom line. "
"The folks that like Samsung, like their designs and find use in them,"
Ofcourse they find use, otherwise they would've stopped after the Galaxy S6 Edge, I see no use, it's just there for some people to go all googly eyed over, and it's just asking to be dropped.
"so your opinion is just that. "
As well as yours, you make it seem like I'm implying my opinion as facts, I'm using common sense and sources to back up my statement on this matter, these edged designs are stupid, offended by my comment? oh well, that's not my problem.
Your post is Silly, top and bottom.

So you don't want to clarify to me what part of your comment emphasized Sarcasm to the possible intent to try to make me seem like a fool?? I gave time wondering if you'll respond to my request of clarification, but I see you didn't. I don't need to look up the word "Sarcasm", I already know what it means, your comment didn't showcase that so I want to know for clarification purposes what part of your comment showcased that? And you might want to place " /s " at the end of your statement just so that individual knows you're staying Sarcasm, sometimes that symbol isn't needed and the Sarcasm is obvious to the next person, but in this matter, it wasn't obvious, so next time for future reference, use that symbol.

You typed all that to say glass cracks. Thanks. I find based on the fact, i cracked every Note model i owned, i fine rhat neither werw or are any more or less fragile then the other. But at leaat thw Note 2 and 3 allowed me to fix them. The new design though not impossible to repair, is a paid and cheap tp just payb $175 or $200 to replace depending carrier.
