Blue iPhone 5c unboxed, fiddled with and powered on in a Chinese video

A 3 minute video of a Chineseperson unboxing and powering a blue iPhone 5c is now trending on Weibo,China's Twitter equivalent. The appearance of what is probably a first from many to more videos to come isn't particularly shocking, despitethe fact that China has justentered the pre-order phase for the 'budget' Apple phone today –they're manufactured in China, after all.

Ourvery first impression from the video was the kind of underwhelming packaging the iPhone 5c ships in, especially considering the gainsApple is sure to reap from the switch to a plastic body. That beingsaid, we kind of like the way the iPhone 5c looks, though we'redefinitely not fans of the backplate, which, again, lookscheap. Of course, don't jump to any conclusions just yet --  you'll hear our final verdict only once we've hadthe chance to fiddle with the 5c on our own. Looks, after all, canbe quite deceiving.

Speakingof fiddling, some of you will be inevitably annoyed by the ratherpoor viewing experience, but it is what it is, and it provides aboutas good a look at the iPhone 5c as you can hope for at this stage. Having said that, the video may nevertheless prove helpful for those of you eyingApple's cheaper iPhone.
