A picture from the BlackBerry gallery can be choosen to be your avatar which will be seen by your contacts. Furthermore, your contacts will be seen with their avatars which you can zoom in on. Also, if you have a 'Berry running 5.0 OS, you will be able to download/send large files of up to 6MB of pictures, files or video. Among the remaining features is support for the Bar-Code Identity reader. Using your device's camera, you convert a bar code into a new contact for your phone. Contacts are backed-up on a server so Desktop Manager is not needed. Once your BlackBerry is upgraded to the new Messenger 5.0. let us know what you think!
