In stark contrast to some of its competition like the App Store or Android Market, the BlackBerry App World may not garner the reputation it needs to really stand tall among the crowd. Despite its sometimes less than desirable app offerings, the App World is getting a slight update that brings forth some bug fixes with it. BlackBerry App World 1.1.0.33 won't give users any noticeable and upfront changes, but most of it are reserved for the back-end – such as a fix for the issue that occur with larger sized apps and that the archive/restore icons have been taken off from the homescreen. Even though it's a minor update, the App World will really need to do something drastic if it plans on sticking around as the competition thickens. They really might see competition even from one of their very own partners, Verizon Wireless, who plans on launching their own app store – they would seemingly dictate how apps are sold seeing that a majority of BlackBerry user are found to be Verizon customers.
