Black Friday Deal: Microsoft Lumia 640 for AT&T at just $29.99 off-contract from Best Buy

Black Friday Deal: Microsoft Lumia 640 for AT&T at just $29.99 off-contract from Best Buy
This Black Friday, Best Buy will price the Microsoft Lumia 640 at just $29.99 off-contract. Between the 26th and the 28th of November, this money will get you a brand new device that's locked on AT&T's network.

Although the Microsoft Lumia 640 is definitely not the fastest Windows smartphone that you can get your hands on, the device still has a lot to offer, especially at this dirt-cheap price.

The Lumia 640 comes with a 5-inch IPS display running a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal storage. In the camera department, Microsoft fitted in an 8MP primary camera and a 0.9MP selfie shooter on the front. A 2500mAh battery is tasked with keeping the lights on, and our battery benchmarks show that it does a decent job. Speaking of tests, you might want to check out our Microsoft Lumia 640 review for more details about the phone.

On the software side, the Microsoft Lumia 640 currently runs Windows Phone 8.1, but the Redmond-based tech giant said that the phone will be one of the first to get the Windows 10 Mobile update.

At $29.99 with no contractual obligations, the Lumia 640 is a steal for AT&T subscribers on the lookout for a secondary smartphone. What do you guys think of this deal?

Wish it could work on Tmobile network flawlessly.

Still is a great buy and if T-Mobile is not your cup of team, you can use it on Cricket or Straight Talk (AT&T towers).

I have a 640 on tmo's network, from tmo not att, works flawlessly. However I haven't tried one from att yet. At this price will pick it up for my pip-boy since the 1020 and 1520 don't fit in it.

I'm returning my $60 640. Oh wait... Am I still in the returning period? Shhhh... Too late. xD At $30, I don't see why not. And the unlock code can be bought on Ebay for $2. I got one for this model. It worked. So... yeah, buy it!!! lol

My last day to return was...today....dangit. Oh well. BTW you could unlock the phone for free on AT&T's website, saving you some money.

The 640 costs a cheap $60 at Walmart and Best Buy right now. Don't know if it's worth saving $30 to get up early and fight the crowd on Black Friday only to see it be sold-out before I can get my hands on it.

But for those who aren't rich and can't even afford $60 for a phone, it's worth it.

I know plenty of low-income people that buy $700 iPhones so I guarantee you they can afford $60. And like I said, it'll likely be sold-out anyway.

Oh yeah? Then what about those who sell ice cream or candies or even beg by the roadside for a living? You really think everyone can afford 60 bucks for a phone? Fantasy world you live in!!

Relax Hexa-core.... We all know people rich and poor whose priorities are screwed. I know people who spend hundreds of dollars for phones and TV, but never have food or proper clothes for their kids. It happens. We all also know people scrapping to get by who truly need a deal like this who are going to love this phone. That is why it is on PA and Best Buy is promoting it.

LOL! Of course not every single person on earth can afford $60 you dipsht, I never said everyone could. Doesn't mean I'm wrong about low-income ($12/hr) people buying expensive as sht iPhone, no less a $60 phone. As for people who beg by the roadside for a living, they have much bigger problems to worry about than buying a lousy $60 phone.

Just bought one to bridge the gap until I pick which over-priced but fun Hero phone I will get this winter. This little guy is worth getting at 60.00. Half that? Holy Cheap Skate, Batman, that is a no lose proposition. Although I am kinda with KeyserSoze on the idea of it sure not being worth the 30.00 for the stress. Glad this is a deal that runs through to Saturday, the 28th, when the crowds will just be deadly as opposed to suicidal on Black Friday.
