BLU Vivo XL2 specs and images revealed ahead of official announcement

US-based company BLU Products is mostly known for its extremely affordable Android smartphones. Since it's specialized in affordable smartphones, the next handset coming from BLU is no exception.

However, we will have to confirm that when the unannounced BLU Vivo XL2 goes official. Until then, let's take a look at some of revealed specs that have been listed at FCC, the regulatory commission in the United States.

The predecessor of the Vivo XL, the new smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display of unknown resolution. It also comes with rear and front-facing camera, but only the former features LED flash.

BLU Vivo XL2 is powered by a 3,150 mAh battery and will be equipped with a MediaTek chipset inside, which is one of the reasons it will be very cheap. No word on the amount of memory, but it will definitely pack microSD card slot.

Obviously, it will ship with Android operating system onboard, but we don't expect it to run Nougat. Since it's already been certified at FCC, the Vivo XL2 is likely to be unveiled very soon, possibly at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is set to kick off on January 5, 2017.

Let's hope this one doesn't come with the ADUPS spyware that was pre-installed on some of BLU's smartphones some weeks ago.
