Asus announces the P835, limits the P565
As you know, the famous computer hardware manufacturer Asus has recently joined forces with the far-famed GPS maker Garmin to form Garmin-Asus. That is really great, but may also be the reason for a few changes of the plan for Asus.

First of all, according to GPSAndCo, the P565, which was to feature a fast 800MHz processor, will enjoy some limited availability. For example, the device has been released in Germany, but will not be available in France.

However,  the manufacturer has announced a fresh handset, namely the P835, which has been showcased at the CeBIT 2009 trade show. Among the key features of the new phone will be the large high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA screen and the built-in Wi-Fi Access Point, which will allow for sharing cellular data over Wi-Fi with up to 10 other devices. The P835 will run the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, and for now, we do not have information regarding a possible future upgrade to WM 6.5.
