Asus Padfone S Plus coming to Malaysia with 3GB of RAM, 64GB storage for $302 USD
The Asus Padfone is a phone that is docked inside the back of a docking station to turn the latter into a working tablet. With the Asus Padfone S Plus, the manufacturer takes the Asus Padfone S (which itself is the international version of the Asus Padfone X) and bumps up some of the specs. The parts of the phone that are unchanged from the previous model include the 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU, the 13MP rear-facing camera, and the 2300mAh battery.

The changes can be found inside with the use of 3GB of RAM, a 50% improvement from the 2GB employed on the Padfone X/S. Another hike involves the 64GB of native storage on the Padfone S Plus. That is a nice boost from the 16GB of native memory found on the prior version of the phone. And of that 16GB, only 10.5GB was available to the user.

The Asus Padfone S Plus will be available in Malaysia starting on April 8th. The device will be priced at the equivalent of $302 USD. The docking station that turns the phone into a tablet is an optional accessory.

Thanks for the tip!

Same price as Vietnam. And we have it on sale from mid-March. Good deal for the specs

A friend of mine bought the Padfone S and it is actually a pretty good phone. With that competitive price and still powerful specs, it is a killer device.

Any Malaysian here who roughly know the actual price for it? Dilemma now whether get this or OnePlus One.

Well, I bought it for RM1069 for Phone + Tempered Glass, in Penang. I suppose there is a cheaper deal from DirectD but only around RM10-20 last time + the hassle of postage process.
