April showers will bring the Acer Iconia Tab A510 and Acer Iconia Tab A700 quad-core tablets
According to both Tablet Community and Tablet Test, Acer revealed some new information following a press event, on a pair of quad-core powered tablets. The Acer Iconia Tab A510 and the Acer Iconia Tab A700 will both be launched in April while production of the former will begin in February or March. Both models not only have NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor under the hood, both models will also come with Android 4.0 installed out of the box. While the pair are Wi-Fi only, User Agent profiles hint that Acer has variants of the pair (A511 and A701) coming to market with 3G connectivity.

While not official, Acer also revealed tentative pricing for the pair. The Acer Iconia Tab A510 will run 500EUR after taxes, while a 64GB Acer Iconia Tab A700 will cost no more than 749EUR. Both models should start with versions carrying at least 16GB each. Tablet Community said it was told that if competition forces the issue, these prices could be cut. U.S. pricing is expected to follow the same numerical amounts as the Euro figures, but just be priced in U.S. Dollars instead. ($499 to $799).

Besides the previously mentioned quad-core 1.3GHz Tegra 3 processor on board, the pair both are equipped with a 10.1 inch screen. The Acer Iconia Tab A510 display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 while the Acer Iconia Tab A700 offers a much crisper resolution of 1920 x 1080.
