Apple to randomly select iOS developers for expedited Apple Watch deliveries
With Apple Watch shipping dates pushed back as far as June for some models, chances are that many iOS developers will be unable to test their Watch apps on their own device for quite some time following this Friday's official launch. In an attempt to get more Watch units on app developing wrists as soon as possible, Apple has recently started inviting developers to sign up for expedited Apple Watch deliveries.
A 42mm Apple Watch Sport with a blue band is the only model that is offered through this promotion, and developers will still have to pay the full retail price of $399.99.
If you're an eligible iOS developer, you can head over to the source link at the bottom of the article, and enter a chance to be randomly selected for these expedited Apple Watch deliveries. You'll find out if your order has gone through this Thursday, April 23th, and if you win the sweepstakes, your blue 42mm Apple Watch Sport should ship by April 28th. Apple does not disclose how many units it is setting aside for this special campaign, quoting abstract "limited supplies" instead.
